Great Shaver!!! After using it for about three weeks, I can definately say that I’d buy another one.

I think it’s important to distinguish between shaves like a blade and having an end product like that of a blade. The 8995 didn’t get my tougher hairs on the first pass like a blade, but it did get them after some concentration on the tougher areas. In the areas where the hair appeared to be cut but the feeling was still rough, a second pass took care of those as well. The end product was as smooth as if it were done with a blade. The shaver is a little bit loud but nothing to discourage someone from purchasing the product. The LED display is a nice feature but may not be as needed as some reviews have said. It lets you know how many minutes you have used the shaver, how many times you have shaved, how many minutes you have left on your current charge as well as a few other things. The quick charge feature is nice as well as the ability to plug the power cord into the unit to use it immediately. I believe that if you manually clean the shaver and occasionally use the cleaning base to sanitize it you will still achieve the desired results and save on cleaning cartridge refills. Overall I would definitely recommend the product. It’s the only electric shaver that I have used that did a job as well as a blade in my experience.

To preface this, I’ve been using Panasonic electric shavers since I first started shaving. I’ve never used a blade or any other brand. I was sucked in by their mesmerizing speeds and foil designs. So after nicking myself on my 4 yr old (top of the line) Panasonic, I replaced both the blade and foil. Nope, still started nicking myself again. On with the research. I got pulled in by Braun’s new marketing with the Gillette blade designs on the shavers. I did lots of research and finally just broke down and picked up the 8995. Bliss was the first word that came to my mind on the first pass over my cheek. I found myself smiling as I started making passes over my face. I was feeling my hairs being cut so smoothly and evenly that I was amazed. I even caught myself going over parts several times because that’s what I was used to doing with my Panasonic. No need with the Braun. I could go over my chin in one pass. The center cutting part (don’t know the technical term) really does wonders at lifting stray and ingrown hairs. The other thing I noticed was the comfort angle of holding the unit. My Panasonics had angled heads so you didn’t really get a good feel of where you were placing it on your face. The Braun is straight with a floating head. This feels more natural in my hand movements.

After using it for a couple of months, I’m very pleased. It is clearly a well-engineered machine that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’ve found that my shaves with it are just as close as the shaves I got with the Gillette Fusion. I suspect that as the years go on, the total cost of shaving with the Braun will actually be less than the Fusion would total. An Extremely Good Electric Razor.

For many years now I’ve used Norelco razors and loved them. I decided to try a foil razor just to see how it compares to my Norelco 9170 XL Smart Touch. Let me tell you, there is no comparison. The Braun 8995 360 Complete is by far the best of the two. It shaves much faster than the Norelco and I think the shave is closer. It also seems to get the hair on my neck with much greater ease. The automatic cleaning system is very quiet and leaves the razor looking like it has never been used. It also lubricates the razor and leaves it smelling like citrus. Overall I’m very impressed with this razor and I only wish that I had made the switch sooner.

Great! After the first week I could really tell it was cleaning better than my manual toothbrush ever did. Soon after starting with this toothbrush I went in for my teeth cleaning. I am always told to floss more, etc. But this time I was told my teeth look really good. I will never go back to manual toothbrush. I have not replaced the head yet and it’s been 6 months. I always had a problem with brushing too hard and scraping away enamel, but this is very gentle on the gums. I love the size, not too big.

Love this product. The price was great. I’ve had others that have cost much more and have not liked as well.

This is hardly just a vibrating manual toothbrush. After using it my gums sting and tingle for a minute, so it must be doing something. The rotating brush toothbrushes don’t create that effect. The timer is also a great feature. The charger does not make a direct connection with the brush; it must be capacitively coupled AC that is converted to DC inside the brush. I haven’t used the more expensive models, but this is heads above anything I have used before; and I guess that’s the point. I would never have considered spending $100 on a toothbrush, and I’m sure there are many other consumers who feel the same way.

The round brush head on this model oscillates back and forth in a circular fashion. The compact size of the brush head means you can maneuver it into tight spaces, e.g., behind your last molar. I have been using an Oral-B plaque remover toothbrush for many years, much to the approval of my dentist. I find that this toothbrush, used for three minutes in the morning and two minutes at night, is superior for plaque removal compared to manual brushing or even a Sonicare (original model) which I used to own. This uses the same brush heads as more expensive Oral-B models and does the same thing.

WOW! Thirty five years ago, when I was a kid, we had an electric toothbrush with a recharger system, and it was worthless. Upon my first use of this system, I could tell that great strides have been made in power brushes. What a sense of clean!
